Love, care and dependence is something each one of us look for in our life. From the very moment a tiny human is born to the last breath of his life, he looks out for companionship in his mother, sibling, partner, friends or any other person whom he can trust and have faith on. Companionship need not be shared only with human beings, it can be with animals and nature. This is nothing but the relationship we share with ourselves, with the people around us and with our surrounding.
No person in the world can live all their life just by himself. At one or the other stage of his life, he’ll need someone to rely on. The connection that one develops with the companion is what decides the future of the relationship, which is built on trust, mutual respect and honesty.

Every relationship is unique, may it be the one you share with yourself or with others, known or unknown to self. It is the primary essence of life through which a person attains satisfaction. One does not feel insecure to share even the darkest secrets and fantasies with the one he thinks is close to him, who he believes is his companion. There is no fear of disagreement. You are always open to suggestions and opinions regarding every matter.
We get so attached to or used to, to our companion that we reach a state where we understand their thoughts and feelings even without them saying anything. We develop a sense where we start reading their facial expression and body language. Non-verbal exchange of words become very common.
I believe loving yourself before you love someone else is very important, because at the end of the day you will only have your company. Every person should be their own favorite as Kareena Kapoor from Jab We Met says “mein apni favorite hoon”, and so am I. and how can I not be my own favorite? In these past years, I have invested so much on myself. If I cannot prioritize myself, love myself, how will I ever be able to care for another person?
Relationship is the primary need for existence.
